Within the POWER POD, electricity generation takes place in two steps. In the first step, HYENA’s proprietary technology is used to produce a hydrogen-rich stream and in the second step, the hydrogen is converted into electricity by its fuel cell.
LPG is the ideal hydrogen carrier because its use as a fuel for cooking and heating are already widespread. By using the existing LPG infrastructure, HYENA makes localised power generation in remote locations a reality.

ln-field servicing is one of the main advantages of HYENA’s POWER POD – made possible by the modular design of active components such that maintenance is as simple as replacing cartridges in your printer. These cartridges consist of recyclable and reusable components. Moreover, service intervals will be extended several-fold, greatly reducing the maintenance burden versus diesel generators. The POWER POD is silent, generates no vibration or unhealthy particulates and does not require frequent maintenance intervals.
